Potting Day - A Great Community Partnership

Scheduled for May 16 at Sunnyside Nursery, 10 am to 2 pm

This will be the eighth year that Arlington Garden Club volunteers have participated in the annual Potting Day at Sunnyside Nursery. We plant customers pots for free!

Customers who visit the nursery and purchase plants on this day can have AGC volunteers pot them at no costs. They can even bring their own pots from home or purchase them at the nursery. Sunnyside Nursery even donates the potting soil.

Potting Day is also when Sunnyside Nursery holds its popular Container Day class, one of its series of free classes - which are always popular with both beginners or more seasoned gardeners. This particular event shares the popular adage about container garden success - find plant combinations that thrill, fill and spill! 

It's another example of the Arlington Garden Club's community service. We love sharing our joy in gardening, and customers love the service and helpful suggestions from us. In fact, several people have come back over the years. And everyone is grateful to take home colorful flowers to enjoy for months to come.
